Twisted Hotdog Buns


Ingredients:
Hot dog sausages - 2-3 (Chicken or Beef, I used Chicken)
All Purpose Flour (Maida) - 1 cup
Instant Yeast - 1/4 tablespoon
Powdered Milk - 1/2 Tablespoon
Salt - 1/4 Teaspoon
Castor Sugar - 1/4 Teaspoon
Cooking Oil - 1 Tablespoon
Egg Slightly beaten - 1 Tablespoon, retain remaining for egg wash before baking (Vegetarians can omit egg altogether or can substitute with 1/2 Tablespoon Yogurt)
Warm water as required for kneading about 1/8 to 1/6 cup or even more

Instructions:
  • Take a mixing bowl and add the flour, milk powder, instant yeast, salt and sugar. Mix these with a spoon so that they are well incorporated.
  • Add oil, egg and then start adding warm water little by little as you knead to form a soft dough.
  • Remember that the water should be warm and not cold or hot. If cold the yeast will not work and if hot the heat will kill the yeast. Test water by dipping your finger and it should be bearable.
